LP340 reads the serial number of 125Khz badges in technologies like EM4100, EM4102, TK4100 and compatible chips. The rapid reading of this ID badge allows it to recognize each user of the system. The LP340 reader is therefore an ideal reader for time attendance and access control in companies that do not require a significant level of security (the 125Khz chip does not offer the same level of security as high frequency chips in high frequency 13,56Mhz).
The LP340 reader has a digital keypad and a 2 line 16 character LCD display. The display is programmable from the development kit, it allows interaction with the users and better usability to be integrated into the access control system. In case of unprotected outdoor installation, a protective visor is recommended to guarantee the readability of the display in direct sunlight.
Connection available for the 125Khz reader: RS232, RS485, Wiegand 26 and 34, Clock & Data, but also TCP/IP for integration into an Ethernet network. LP340 can be connected to almost any electronic control board on the market, in this case it will serve as a simple reader that reads the ID of the badges, the intelligence of access management then being managed by the Logical Processing Unit . The reader also offers an IP65 protection index which makes it ideal for installing into an outdoors access control application.
