ID card printers
– Plastic card printers are specific printers designed to print on plastic ID cards with standard CR-80 dimensions, 86*54mm (ISO 7810). Most ID cards have a thickness of 0,76mm (credit cards for example), but depending on the printer you choose, it may be possible to print and personalise cards from 0,25mm to 1mm.
– To guarantee a perfect printing quality with thermal transfer and dye sublimation card printers, the card material must be laminated PVC.
– ID card printers connect to your computer through a USB or Ethernet communication cable, and the Windows drivers allow them to be used with almost any standard Windows software. They are just as easy to use as any laser or inkjet printer.
